The Maritime Concert Opera chorus is starting up rehearsals again, this time for our upcoming production of Bizet’s Carmen. The MCOC meets on Monday nights, from 7:30 to 9:30, at Zion Lutheran Church in Lunenburg, under the direction of our new chorus conductor Rachel Grantham, and rehearsal accompanist Jane Christiansen.
We’re also looking for children for the children’s chorus, who will perform just in the June 21st performance in Lunenburg.
If you’d like to join us, please email Chorus Coordinator Heather O’Dell.

We’d like to thank everyone who made our Mad Hatter’s Tea Party on March 1st our most successful fundraiser ever!
Our special judges were Catherine and David, Heather Brill’s children, and they picked the following two winners:

Shelah Allen won for the most beautiful hat

David picked Kay’s fabulous creation as the Funniest Hat.

And here’s a quintet of Ernsts in their chapeaux: from left to right, Elijah, John, Joshua, Peter and Eva, wearing the singing chicken.
